Gbajabiamila attends US college amidst ASUU strike

House of Representatives Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila has returned to class at Harvard University for a leadership course.

He had on Tuesday shared photos of himself in the classroom via his verified Twitter handle.

“Back to class. In a leadership course @havard @Kennedy_school. Forget the number of grey hairs, one is never too old to learn, broaden or sharpen your skills” he tweeted.

Some Nigerians on social media have expressed displeasure over the resumption of the Speaker of lower legislative chamber at a university in the United States of America amidst the lingering strike action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities.

Academic staff union of university (ASUU) had on February 14, 2022, began industrial action to press home it’s demands to the government.

Academic activities in public universities in Nigeria have been shut down for over five months and the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) on Tuesday is holding protests across the nation in solidarity with the striking members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities.
