Retirement Beckons at Amir Khan after Crucial Defeat in Supremacy Fight

Amir Khan said he is considering retiring from boxing after he sustained a crucial defeat from his long-time rival, Kell Brook, over the weekend.
The British professional boxer stated that the passion he has for the sport has diminished which may bring his blistering career to an end.
Having engaged in forty fights, the 35 years old affirmed he has won two world titles both in America and around the world.
“I’ve had 40 fights, won two world titles, fighting in America and around the world.
Admittedly, he said the passion he has for boxing has dwindled and this made his fight with Kell Brook uninteresting.

More so, with rising concern about his family, the former unified light-welterweight world champion revealed that he needs to sit with his family which may determine the end of his career.
He said, “I need to sit down with my family. But it is more towards the end of my career.
“The love for the sport isn’t there anymore.
“In the ring, I didn’t have excitement and that push.
“That’s maybe a sign that I should call it a day. But let’s see,” he added.
Khan, who held the WBC Silver welterweight title from 2014 to 2016, stated that he had no motivation during his fight with Kell Brook on Saturday, where he lost convincingly.
