Fish out the killers of LGA information Officer, Lawmaker urged security agencies

A call for the police and other security personnel to as a matter of urgency fish out the killers of the Information officer of Ukum local government council of Benue state, Ephraim Orbunde, has been made.

Member Federal House of Representatives for Sankera Federal Constituency, Dr Richard Gbande made the call on Monday at the council and urged security operatives to leave no stone unturned in tracking down both the killers and the sponsors of the hideous act.

Orbunde, Information officer of Ukum was recently shot by unknown gunmen, the action which The Trumpet noticed to have continued to ignite dust in the area.

Expressing sadness over the gruesome murder, Gbande said the perpetrators “must be fished out, apprehended and dealt with decisively.”

Wondering why such an act was melted on Ephraim, the member who was the former President of the Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Benue state chapter said “Enough is enough of this tolerance.”

“We as a people have tolerated this senseless act enough” the need for the people to come together and prevent future occurrences, he said has become necessary.

“It is time to act, I want to assure all of you that, the killers of Ephraim must be apprehended and be dealt with decisively,” he said.
