FG will partner with Elomaz Foundation – Keyamo

Minister of State, Labour and Employment, Olorogun Festus Keyamo, has said that Federal Government would
partner with Elomaz Foundation in the area of skills acquisition.

Keyamo made this known to newsmen during the unveiling and official opening of Elomaz Foundation in Oleh, Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State.

He said, “I can tell you straight away the Federal Government will partner with Elomaz Foundation; that is an
instant approval I have given”.

The Minister noted that “What we do at the Ministry of Labour and Employment, especially the agencies that
we supervise, like the National Directorate of Employment, we look for skills acquisition centres to train people and equip them to be self-employed”.

Saying that the Elomaz Foundation had just provided roof for us in Isoko nation he said, “I can assure you I
will give directives to the agencies that we supervise to partner with Elomaz Foundation”.

“We will give equipment for the training skills acquisition, in the next few weeks we should see that materialize”.

While commending the efforts of the Chairman of the foundation, Hon. Joel-Onowakpo Thomas noted that
all the leaders of the were very impressed, describing him as a patriot who want to benefit his people.
He, therefore, enjoined the Isoko people to use the commissioned edifice responsibly.

Earlier on, the Chairman of Elomaz Foundation Hon. Joel-Onowakpo Thomas said that, the foundation building
was built quietly and he intended to open it quietly for the use of humanity.

He, therefore, thanked the leader of the Delta APC Stakeholders Council, Olorogun Festus Keyamo, Olorogun
Great Ovedje Ogboru and all other guests who despite their tight schedule graced the occasion.

Meanwhile, the Director General of Elomaz Foundation Mrs. Veronica Odogu stated that “Elomaz Foundation is a registered charitable non-governmental organization under the registered seal of the Corporate Affairs
Commission with the vision of providing comfort and self-sustainability for the needy through employment,
scholarship, skills acquisition programmes and support for the aged and widows/widowers”.

She noted all the above mentioned will be done by investing productivity in the development of the Isoko
youths through entrepreneurial perspective, building intellectuals capacities through scholarship programmes
and assisting the less privileged, orphans, widows, and widowers by rendering necessary financial and moral
support to them.

She also revealed that the foundation will carry out four programmes in a year, January, empowerment for the
upgrade of existing businesses, April/May, outreach for in Isoko South and North, September, scholarship award for primary and secondary schools and December, a package for widows/widowers, aged, blind and three orphanage homes respectively.

She also reiterates that the total persons to care for this December are 40, of which, thirty-four are widows,
two aged persons, two widowers, two impaired persons, and three orphanage homes in Isoko South and North
Local Government Area of Delta State.
