The Falconets of Nigeria have on their transit to Nigeria, after exiting the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica, been left stranded in Turkey.

According to Colin Udoh, the team’s media officer, the Nigeria U20 Women’s team on transit since 6:30am on Monday, had to layover on chairs, floors or anywhere for 24 hours in Turkey.

Regrettably, with no transit visa, the Falconets who left the shores of Nigeria to defend her dignity on the international stage of football, were unable to leave the airport to get a favourable ambience in Turkey hotels after undoing a rigorous campaign in Costa Rica.

Udoh said, “Nigeria’s Falconets have been travelling from Costa Rica since 6:30am on Monday.
