Elect rep that understands national politics, issues Onowakpo urges electorates

The APC Delta South senatorial candidate Hon. Joel-Onowakpo Thomas has assured his constituents that he will set the pedestal of good leadership when elected into the Red Chambers of the 10th National Assembly come 2023.
He said he will ensure all ethnic nationalities and regions are equitably and fairly represented as a prerequisite to a sterling representation in the diverse senatorial district.
The servant-leader and financial expert made the statement on Sunday at an investiture ceremony organised by the Delta South APC Mobilization Group (DELSAMOG) where he was honoured as one of the patrons alongside Chief Barr A. K. Osawota, Chief Wellington Okrika as grand patron and Chief Hon Barr Olivia Agbajoh as Matron.
According to the APC senatorial candidate in Delta South who by all standards dwarfed all contending elements for the seat to redefine what effective representation entails, reiterated that his pact with the people will be adhered to the latter.
Joel-Onowakpo whose track record in public service speaks volumes, especially as the helmsman of Delta State Board of Internal Revenue (DBIR) where the board recorded tremendous success yet to be surpassed during the tenure of erstwhile governor of Delta State, Dr Emmanuel Ewetan Uduaghan, stated that Delta South is due for result-oriented representation.
“sterling representation do not happen by mere wishful thinking but by the practicality of electing competent and qualitative representative that understands the yearnings of the people and the challenges bedevilling the region.
“Ours is entangled in several precarious challenges ranging from infrastructural decay, environmental pollution and degradation, unemployment, flooding, power shortages and leadership failure.

“To redefine the fortunes of one of the most endowed senatorial districts that contribute handsomely to Nigeria’s coffers, Delta South must come to the fore to elect a man who understands the polity of the nation and has the wherewithal to nip these challenges in the bud,
“We must get it right if we are unhappy with the present state of the district and are determined to checkmate leadership deficiency, stressing that Delta South has men of national and international repute to experience any sort of leadership failure.
“The world is evolving and we must as a district adapt else we will be left behind as a result of the failure to do what is right when we had the opportunity to effect the change. I pray that day does not come because we will get it right for the good Delta South this time around,” Joel-Onowakpo said.
