EFCC tasks corps members on public awareness against graft

Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has called on members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) to intensify campaigns aimed at carrying the anti-graft message to the grassroots, especially among primary and secondary school pupils.

The charge was made at the weekend when officers of the Commission visited the EFCC/NYSC Community Development Service (CDS) Group, Area 1 Branch, Abuja, to sensitize them on effective ways of reaching their audience when carrying out their sensitization duties.

The Commission, represented by Martha Ojochokutami Eche of the Public Affairs Directorate, stressed that the anti-corruption fight belongs to all Nigerians and must be fought with all vigour, even by children who are being groomed as leaders of tomorrow.

She charged the corps members to penetrate the grassroots by reaching out to the younger generation, adding that it is more profitable to sensitize young people on the dangers of corruption on the society so they can avoid the menace as they grow.
