Some members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa have allegedly demanded a sum of N150 million in compensation from a support group of Bola Tinubu for failing to honour the agreement on APC delegates list from the state.
The group had accused the support group of betraying trust and agreement by trading the delegates list supplied with other persons ahead of the presidential primary of the party.
A serving House of Representatives member and one of the coordinators of Tinubu’s campaign organization, Hon. James Abiodun Faleke was petitioned to accuse the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Presidential Campaign Office under his watch of double-dealing.
The petition to Faleke was signed by Muhammed Mubarak, Hajia Larai Kolo and Hon Suleiman( for and on behalf of five others. The petition titled “A Demand For Compensation for Harvest of Delegates” read “Recall that on the first of June, 2022, you, through one of your staff, by name Mr Bisi Oyo Osun, approached us to supply delegates lists from Nasarawa and Plateau States “We did as required and the 2nd of June, being the following day, we personally handed over the lists to you in your office, in the presence of Mr Bisi Oyo Osun “Right there, you directed your officer, one Malam Zakari to vet the list and invite us for further discussions.
“The official in question, now, fixed an appointment with us for the following day at 10am for the result of his verification.
“But, he never turned up in the office to honour the appointment “When we reached him on his phone for updates on the assignment, that you gave him, he told us that the list from Nasarawa State had been changed “We smelled a rat, and quickly got across to the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress, APC to verify the information, and this was promptly debunked by the National Organising Secretary.

“We immediately reached Zakari to inform him that his information about a change of delegates list was false, having confirmed from the National Secretariat of the Party “Our suspicion heightened, when Zakari refused to engage with us in further discussions, until late in the evening of that day, that we discovered to our shocking dismay that Zakari and your good self had entered into negotiation with the same delegates on the list that we gave you, without our knowledge.
“When we asked Zakari to explain to us, how the same delegates were brought to the Campaign Office without our knowledge, he simply claimed that some people brought them.
“We then demanded to know why we were not contacted as promised, since we had an understanding that the Campaign Organisation will provide them with accommodation and other logistics, after finalising all negotiations between us and them, only for him to claim that he didn’t know how they came, but that he only saw the delegates in their campaign office.
“From our findings, through one of the delegates who spoke with us, Mr Zakari in connivance with some people, secretly got in touch with them using our list and sidelined us.
“This is a clear case of betrayal and double crossing “We hereby demand a compensation of One hundred and fifty million Naira (150m), for our efforts in harvesting the delegates who have now been cornered by your campaign organisation. “Please note that, we shall address the media on this issue if our demands are not met quickly.”
