The Delta State Youth leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Engr. Efe Ugbarugba, has resigned his membership of the party, citing failure of the party in the state to reward loyalty.
In his resignation letter dated 10th of June, 2022, and obtained by The Trumpet, the Youth Leader also accused the party of not carrying the youths along in the activities of the party.
Efe had on February, 2022, resigned his appointment as Senior Legislative Aide(SLA) to the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege to pursue his aspiration to contest for the Ughelli Constituency II, House of Assembly ticket of the APC. The Trumpet Gathered
However, he failed to secure the ticket following alleged gentleman agreement between the DSP and Olorogun O’tega Emerhor another leader of the party from the constituency to that the later be allowed to produce the flagbearer for the area.

The letter addressed to the Ughelli North Local Government Chairman of the party reads in part, “I would like to inform you that I have decided to resign my membership/position with All Progressive Congress (APC) as Youth Leader with immediate effect.
“The reasons for this decision among other things are the failure of the party to carry youths along in their programmes and activities and zero reward for loyalty and hardwork.”
