Breaking: Senate rejects Buhari’s Electoral Act reject

The Senate has turned down request by President Muhammadu Buhari to amend Section 84(12) of the newly signed Electoral Act.

The Red Chamber during consideration of A Bill for an Act to amend Electoral Act 2022 failed to ratify the bill during second reading, The Trumpet gathered.

Only yesterday did the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan boasted that the court cannot stop the Senate from tinkering with the Electoral Act as requested by President Buhari.
