Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi on Friday officially announced the choice of a businessman cum politician, Yusuf Datti Baba- Ahmed as his running mate ahead of the 2023 presidential election.
This announcement was coming just three days after the rumour of Baba- Ahmed being the possible vice presidential candidate of the LP. The Trumpet Gathered
Obi had initially forwarded the name of former presidential spokesperson, Dr Doyin Okupe to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as a ‘place holder’ pending the choice of a substantive Vee Pee.

Recall that Okupe on Thursday wrote to INEC to withdraw his candidature as the party’s vice-presidential candidate.
