Chelsea approach Everton’s Anthony Gordon

Everton forward Anthony Gordon is a subject of interest from Chelsea who are looking to bolster their squad further before the close of the summer transfer window.

Although Everton are not willing to sell the youngster having rejected offers from Tottenham and Newcastle United reportedly below 40 million but would entertain a deal at 50 million euros should the opportunity
present itself.

Reports have it that Chelsea need a wide man who can efficiently play from the wings and Gordon happens to fit that quality coach Thomas Tuchel needs to bolster his squad.

Convinced that the England U21 player meets its requirement, Chelsea have launched an initial offer of close to 40 million euro for the 21-year-old who is a product of the Everton youth team.

Everton have been made to reconsider their decision not to sell Gordon and would look to enter into a negotiation with Chelsea on the basis that a player will be included whichsoever Toffees manager Frank Lampard
is interested in.

Reportedly, Everton are in talks with Chelsea over a couple of the players like Michy Batshuayi, Billy Gilmour, Conor Gallagher, Callum Hudson-Odoi and their former player Ross Barkley, so the recent interest in Gordon would see one of the above players included in the deal.

Moreover, Gordon got his shot to play for Everton’s senior team three seasons ago after he was promoted from the club’s U21 side. Since he got promoted to Everton FC, the england U21 player has scored 4 times in 62
appearances for the club while providing 6 assists.
