Bale unperturbed after Madrid exit

Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale’s reign at Santiago Bernabeu has inarguably ended after the Welshman’s nine-year contract elapsed in June 2022.

The prolific Bale, who joined Real Madrid in 2013 after a 5-year superlative spell at Tottenham, where he scored 42 goals in 146 Premier League appearances for the North London club, scored a brace in the 2018 Champions League final to help Los Blancos beat Liverpool to the trophy.

Subsequently, the Welshman spell has dwindled after then and this engineered Los Blancos to send him back to Tottenham on loan last season. Unfortunately, the club record signing for Real Madrid whose transfer fee was £85.1m was unable to regain the same form that saw him spurred the North London’s seasons.

Presently unperturbed, Bale on international duty with the Wales national team, preparing to play the World Cup playoff match said he is focused on the qualifiers at the moment. “As I’ve said before, I’m not concentrating on what the future holds,” Bale said, as reported by the Mirror.

“We’ve got a very important game. I don’t need to think or worry about anything else,” he added. Among Bale’s accolades, includes six times ‘Welsh Player of the Year’ awards, with four of them, won on consecutive occasions from 2013.

He made a total of 258 appearances, netting 106 goals in all competitions for Real Madrid.
