Amotekun nabs suspects in connection with Owo church massacre

The Ondo State Western Nigeria Security Network, codenamed Operation Amotekun, has revealed that some of the suspects involved in the June 5, 2022, terror attack at Saint Francis Catholic Church, Owo, have been arrested.

The Amotekun Commander, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, disclosed this while parading 71 suspected criminals at the command’s headquarters in Akure, the state capital.

He disclosed that the vehicle used in carrying out the attack was also retrieved as well as some of the instruments used. He said all those involved in the attack would be discovered.

Adeleye, who revealed that investigation is ongoing, did not give a figure for the suspects arrested in connection with the attack.
