PDP holds Ward Congresses in Osun

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) holds its ward Congresses in Osun State today and tomorrow (Wednesday 16 – Thursday 17, February 2022).

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the party approved that the exercise take place in all the 332 Wards of Osun State.

The 5- members Electoral Committee for the Ward Congresses are expected to elect 3-Man Ad-Hoc Ward Delegates to the Special State Congress ahead of the state governorship primary.

Member of the Committee include Sen. Baba Tella (Chairman), Mukthar Shagari, Nze Ozichukwu Chukwu, Dr. Abiye Sekibo and Barr. Nellie Ikpi (Secretary).

In the same vein, the NWC equally approved the appointment of 63 Electoral Officers whose sole responsibility shall be to conduct the Ward Congresses in their assigned LGA.

This, according to National Organising Secretary, Hon. Umar Bature, is to ensure transparency and strict compliance with the rules and regulations.
