The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State on Research and Documentation, Dr Essien Ndueso has said that blackmail and empty accusations can not stop the vision of Pastor Umo Eno to develop the state as planned in his A-R-I-S-E agenda for the state.
He warned detractors to desist from blackmail as only peace and unity are the necessary ingredients to transform the state despite different political affiliations adding that meaningful development can only take place in the atmosphere of peace.
Speaking in Uyo on Wednesday during a live radio interview Programme tagged “Akwa Ibom Mandate” aired on Planet FM, Ndueso described Eno as a detribalised and peaceable leader focused on development projects and programmes across the State.
He appealed to Akwa Ibom people to disregard such notions of nepotism and ethnicity and join hands to promote the peace enjoyed in the State.
The senior research Aide to the Governor lauded his leadership approach in dealing with people across other political divides.
“The Governor, as you recalled, had charged his newly appointed 368 personal aides across the wards , to go back and behave like him and desist from struggling for leadership positions but to embrace everyone willing to support his government.
“This is a Governor who gladly opened his arms to a man that was in Court the previous day, challenging his eligibility and legitimacy to be a Governor.

“The next day the person was in Government house to see the Governor, and he received him, embraced him and promised to work with him for the State to move forward.
“That same person headed to court, to further challenge the Governor’s eligibility to be Governor while the Governor is still saying, tell him to come let’s work together.”
Ndueso argued that a Governor who asked respective ward leaders and stakeholders to nominate personal aides for him from the various local government wards in the State to ensure that development is equally distributed to the grassroots cannot be said to be tribalistic and whoever is spewing such accusations is just doing that for political motives.
“When the Governor asked each community in the State to recommend projects for immediate execution, he did not restrict any area, since he wanted everyone to take ownership of projects that government is bringing to their domain.” he said.
