How 3SC extended unbeaten streak to 5 games

Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) beat league champions Rivers United 3-2 to extend their unbeaten streak to five games in a role.

The home side has continued to put up surprising stunts to survive the relegation scare to the lower division, Nigeria National League (NNL).

Prior to the Sunday encounter with the Pride of Rivers at the Lekan Salami Stadium, said that the feelers emanating from the visitors’ camp galvanised them to be at their best outing to secure maximum points.

Prior to the cracker, the captain of 3SC, Omololu Waheed Abiodun, who is abreast with the situation of the club presently, assured fans that they will give all their best to ensure the visitors are not only taken to the cleaners but in a convincing manner.

Abiodun said, “We know what is on ground, our lives depend on this particular match as it will either make or mar our dream of remaining in the premier league and we are fully prepared for the match because we know anything short of victory will not be good for us.

“It is not going to be easy. We even heard they said they are coming to beat us but that will not happen here on Sunday.

“We cannot afford to fail not only ourselves but the ever-supportive government and the people of Oyo State, as well as millions of our supporters all over the globe. It is going to be a fight to finish, but we will get the job done,” he stated.

With the win, 3SC have now move up the NPFL league table to fourteen position with 48 points and will fight to preserve the feat when they travel to face relegation side Kano Pillars on Sunday, July 17, 2022.
