The 10-0 result which has left all football spectators’ mouths gap on hearing the outcome of Monday’s AFCON qualifier, catapulted the Super Eagles to top Group A ahead of Guinea-Bissau which plummeted the former’s second match victims 5-1 in their opening encounter.
Nigeria and Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen, presently attracting interest from Premier League clubs with rich footballing history, Manchester United and Arsenal, was on a rampage netting four goals; his first four in any match for Super Eagles.
Expectedly, the victory over Sao Tome and Principe did not only send shivers down the spines of Guinea-Bissau who will play Nigeria in a double-cracker in September but also send signals across the African continent on what awaits any team that would take on the Super Eagles.

Meanwhile, Osimhen after the game praised his teammates for putting up such a scintillating outing in Morocco and charged them to sustain the momentum as the nation rises to reclaim its spot in Africa and world football.
“Amazing display from the whole squad, we will continue to build on this momentum,” Osimhen tweeted.
The Napoli forward, who broke the floodgate of goals a minute before 10 for the Nigerian team, was very instrumental in fomenting sharp-cutting attacks of the Super Eagles.
Remarkably, the result recorded by Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro yesterday in Morocco broke a 63-year-old record where Nigeria thrashed Dahomey, renamed Benin Republic, 10-1 in 1959 at Lagos.
