Kristo College holds 2nd Annual Inter-house Sport

Kristo College, one of the fast growing private schools in Kwale, Delta State, on Monday held its second inter-house sports festival with a commitment to ensure the development of sports amongst the younger generation.

The annual inter-house sports competition which was held at Iyiatu Primary school, Umusadege, Kwale, Delta state featured different sporting events such as 1500m race, 8000m race,100m, 200m and 400m race

Other events include catching them young, lime and spoon race, sack race, football competition, long jump and high jump amongst others.

Speaking during the event, the Proprietor of the school, Mr Eugene Chukwudi Osuya, an expert in business management and education, said the school was established not as a money making venture but out of passion to provide quality education to the Ndokwa people.

He pointed out that the secret behind the huge success recorded by the school in terms of population, academic performance and acceptance in the society was due to the humanitarian face it has adopted in going about its services.

He thanked God for making the inter-house sports festival a success and appreciated everyone who participated in one way or the other to make it worthwhile.

In his remarks, Mr Eudurance Odogwu, Chairman of the occasion commended Mr Chukwuji Eugene Osuya for building a formidable team which have been able to move the vision beyond imagination and encouraged him to do more.

Highlights of the event was the presentation of trophies to winners which saw Red House, called House of Tovia lifting the first place trophy, followed by White House and Yellow House in second and third position respectively while Green House settled at the button of the table.
