Speaking with journalists, CSP Nwabuisi said the police got wind of the activities of the cartels from good-spirited individuals.

According to him, all types of illicit drugs are being sold by the cartels at locations not accessible with vehicles but by foot.

One of them called “Pedro Cartel” located at Commercial Avenue, Sapele had been a perpetual hiding place for drug addicts.

It is at the heart of the town known as the “Urban Area” with residential houses. Nwabuisi advised residents to always report criminal dens because they are not good training grounds for children.

The police team demolished all makeshift buildings of the cartels.
