No fewer than nine persons were burnt to death in an auto crash which occurred at Omotosho Stepdown Bridge, Ore-Lagos Expressway in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
According to the Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ore Unit Command, Mr Sikiru Alonge, the accident involved two vehicles, a white Toyota Hiace bus with registration number FKJ 095 XE and a Honda
Accord Saloon car with an unascertained registration number.
“Nine persons were burnt to death in a ghastly accident which happened on Ore-Lagos Expressway early this morning.”

He said the accident was caused by a tyre burst which resulted in a head-on collision which later resulted in a fire blast that burnt all occupants of the vehicles beyond recognition.
The FRSC Commander disclosed that the remains of the victims had been deposited at the mortuary of the General Hospital in Ore. He warned motorists to always obey traffic law, maintain speed limits and concentrate while driving in order to save lives.
