2023 Presidency: Osibanjo best option for APC – Rep Waive

...says VP will win presidential election with ease

The member representating Ughelli/Udu Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives, Reverend Francis Waive has posited that the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osibanjo remains the best candidate for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2023 presidential polls.

Waive maintained that fielding Osibanjo as it’s presidential candidate will allow the party coast to victory with ease.

In a Press Release personally signed by the lawmaker on Sunday and made available to The Trumpet, Rev. Waive who is the only APC member of the House from Delta State also called on Osibanjo to vie for the party’s presidential ticket and contest the 2023 presidential poll.

He described Osibanjo as one who has displayed all the character traits of a good leader, adding that he has shown trust and loyalty as deputy to President Mohammadu Buhari.

He pointed out that Prof. Osinbajo has proven capacity to turn the fortunes of this country around by way of building on the foundation laid by the present administration.

Nigeria, he says need a younger leader like Prof. Osinbajo who has the presence of mind, vast contacts around the country and respect for the multi-ethnic and multi-religious dimensions of our country.

“Prof Osinbajo’s intellectual dept, managerial abilities, patience and tolerance is what our country needs at this crucial time in our history he emphasized,” he stated.

The Lawmaker, who is the Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Power as well as Chairman Nigeria Niger Parliamentary Friendship Group, advised APC leaders to do the needful and support Prof. Osinbajo if the party is to win the 2023 Presidential election. Noting that nobody from the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) can match the candidacy of Prof. Osinbajo.
