The father of the late singer Mohbad, Joseph Aloba, shared in a recent interview that his life has improved since his son’s passing.

He expressed that despite the tragedy, he feels the presence of his son’s spirit guiding and assisting him.

Aloba mentioned that the support he has received, including gifts like a car, seems to be influenced by both Mohbad’s spirit and divine intervention.

In his reflections, he pointed to the struggles his son faced, particularly regarding his family, specifically mentioning Mohbad’s wife, Wunmi and her relatives.

Aloba indicated that they played a significant role in the challenges surrounding Mohbad and his assets, noting that much of what his son owned is now with them.

He recalled a moment when Mohbad had plans to purchase a house for him, but those plans were cut short.

“Let me just say yes, my life got better after Mohbad’s death because he is my friend. He had it in plan to do many things for me but they didn’t allow him to do them. After his death, it was the spirit of Mohbad, and that of God combined together that began to send people to assist me.

“Even the car and everything I have now, it was people that gave them to me and it is beyond ordinary. So it is the spirit of Mohbad and God that led those people to give me all I have now.

“Those were the things he was meant to be doing for me, but they didn’t allow him to do them.
“Two weeks before his death, he took me to the house he wanted to buy and told me he was going to buy it after the completion of his tour, for which I know he had completely paid,” he added.

Aloba also recounted how the birth of Mohbad inspired him to pursue a music career, after funds from his naming ceremony were misappropriated, revealing that Mohbad had even served as his backup singer from a young age.
