Ministry commences bank accounts collection for YEIDEP fund disbursement

The Federal Ministry of Youth Development has initiated the phase of collecting bank account information for the Youth Economic Intervention and De-Radicalization Empowerment Programme (YEIDEP).

This stage follows the closure of official registration on May 31, 2025, where over 5 million young Nigerians successfully submitted their applications, YEIDEP said on their official website on Wednesday.

“It will, however, assist the government in ensuring that only valid and operational bank accounts receive the non-refundable grant of up to ₦500,000.

“Recently, the federal government established a committee to oversee the program’s process for efficient distribution,” YEIDEP said.

It warned that applicants whose bank details are incorrect will be disqualified from receiving payments.

It therefore advised applicants to meticulously verify their account information, as even minor errors could result in their ineligibility for the N500,000 grant.
