The Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Yusuf Atah, has tasked estate surveyors and valuers on professional expertise, highlighting their role in providing cost-effective housing.
Hon. Atah gave the charge when he received courtesy visit a delegation from the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV) at his Abuja office.
The Minister’s media aide Seyi Olorunsola, in a statement quoted the minister to have said their expertise would help in ensuring that land and property values are accurate and reflect fair market values.
He specifically urged them to fully key into the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President Bola Tinubu, stressing that all members must align their activities and services with the housing sector goals of the administration.

While congratulating them on their 55th annual conference and annual general meeting which holds from 5th to 10th May, the minister however assured them of his support, saying, his doors remain open to ideas, partnerships, and innovations that could deliver results in line with the President’s vision.
Earlier in his remarks, the NIESV representatives praised the Minister for his exemplary leadership and pledged their unwavering support for the housing initiatives under the present administration.
He also advocated for equitable treatment and recognition of estate surveyors and valuers within the Nigerian Civil Service and emphasized on the importance of integrating modern valuation techniques and professional standards to support national development goals.
