A member of the Kano State House of Assembly, representing Sumaila Constituency, Zubairu Massu, has dumped the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Masu in a resignation letter addressed to the Speaker of the House, Ismail Falgore, cited party fractionalization and litigation rocking the NNPP as his major reason for leaving the party.
The speaker who read the letter on the floor of the House during Monday’s plenary announced Masu’s resignation effective from May 12, 2025, where he pledged his total loyalty to the APC leadership at the ward, state, and national levels.
