Iran launches missile strike on Israel after US strike on its nuclear sites
Iran has carried out a significant missile strike on Israel in direct response to U.S. airstrikes targeting its crucial nuclear sites in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.

Military and media reports indicate that Iran launched at least 30 ballistic missiles towards Israel early Sunday morning.

The missiles aimed at major cities such as Tel Aviv, Haifa, Jerusalem, and areas in southern Israel, causing widespread air raid sirens and panic among the population.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) reported that their Iron Dome and Arrow missile defense systems intercepted most of the incoming missiles, but acknowledged that some managed to get through, hitting residential areas and infrastructure.

Israeli emergency services have reported at least 86 civilian injuries, with some individuals suffering serious wounds.

Damage has been noted in Haifa, Ramat Aviv, and Beer Yaakov, where buildings and vehicles were impacted.

Iranian state media characterized the missile strikes as a “direct response to the unprovoked aggression by the United States against Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities.”

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a warning that “any further provocation will be met with greater force.”

In response, Israeli officials have held emergency security meetings in Tel Aviv, and military forces are on high alert for potential further escalations.

The United States has not released a new statement since President Trump referred to the airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear sites as “a complete success.”

The United Nations has called for calm and is expected to convene an emergency Security Council meeting to discuss the escalating crisis.

Tensions remain high in the region, with concerns that the situation could escalate into a broader conflict involving other regional players.
