INEC okays Agbodo for House of Reps election

Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC) has certified Reverend Esanerovo Trinity Agbodo, a former independent presidential aspirant, as eligible to run for a House of Representatives seat in 2023.
He has been cleared by the election management body to run for Isoko North/Isoko South Federal Constituency as the candidate of National Rescue Movement (NRM).
Agbodo, also an engineer, joined the 2023 presidential race as an independent candidate but later withdrew.
In line with INEC’s timetable of displaying the names of eligible candidates for the 2023 elections, Agbodo’s is on the list of National Assembly contestants displayed at the INEC State Headquarters, Asaba, Delta State at the weekend.
Speaking on the his bid for the National Assembly seat, Rev. Agbodo said that he is in the race “to give Isoko people a befitting representation at Abuja as well as ensuring that Isoko youths and elders get their worth from the Federal Government.”
He promised to sponsor bills that will be of immense benefit to the Isoko people as well as influence the siting and effective execution of federal government projects in the oil area..
He pledged to publish all constituency projects as approved by the budget annually and their execution will also be enforced to guarantee transparency.

Agbodo also promised to pursue his pet project unveiled in his presidential bid, ‘Nigeria By Shareholding’ through sponsoring a bill as soon as he is sworn into office when elected. The bill is to ensure that all Nigerians including Isoko people benefit directly from the income earned by the country through a Nigeria Company Plc.
“The income earned from the company will serve as a guarantee for every Nigerian willing to access funds for self development, educational pursuits and in other areas,” he explained.
He said he will through another special project in Isoko land which he will launch as soon as elected, guarantee that all indigenes seeking employment are either employed in public and private sectors across Nigeria or supported through free skills acquisition, empowerment and supervision. They will be managed directly from his two constituency offices in both Isoko North and Isoko South Local Government Areas.
He therefore called on Isoko people to be united and support his candidacy in the 2023 election, adding that details of his projects would be revealed when official campaigns fully commences as approved by INEC.
Rev. Agbodo with other Isoko patriots, through the Isoko Action Group hosted the first Isoko Economic Summit Consultative Forum in 2014 at Noble Hotel, Oleh.
