Nigeria footballer, Odion Ighalo, has joined Al-Hilal FC of Saudi Arabia from Al-Shabab FC.

The deal was announced via the Twitter handle of the club on Saturday as well as the verified Twitter account of the player.

The 32-year-old and one-time highest goal scorer of the Africa Cup of Nations(AFCON) is joining the new club on an undisclosed fee.

Ighalo had earlier agreed two and a half years on personal terms with the Al-Shabab and had been in the club since February 2021.

His former club had recently blocked the 32 years old from representing Nigeria at the ongoing 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Ighalo who retired from the Super Eagles in 2019 was lured back by the former coach of the Nigeria national football team, Gernot Rohr, where he featured in the last World Cup against Cape Verde in November 2021.
