An aide to Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State is currently embroiled in an alleged N200million contract scam, with the allegation trending on social media platforms in the state.
On Tuesday evening, the news of the alleged contract scam was all over social media platforms, with some netizens claiming that the governor’s aide had been arrested by the police.
The allegation which first appeared on the Facebook page of Itumo Palm-tree Ndubuisi, a radio presenter, stated that the governor’s aide had being detained for three days on the orders of Gov. Nwifuru.

However, when the Commissioner for Information and State Orientation, Jude Okpor, was contacted for comments, he said he was unaware of the said aide’s arrest.
“I’m not aware of such an arrest please,” he said.
