As Christians around the world celebrate Easter, Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has called on residents to embrace the spirit of peace, selflessness, and compassion throughout the easter celebrations holiday season.
In a goodwill message issued through his Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, Governor Fintiri emphasized the importance of reflecting on the teachings and sacrifice of Jesus Christ, urging citizens to emulate His love and humility.
“This is a special time, especially for Christians, when they remember the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ,” the governor stated. “As we enter the Easter season, let’s remember that it is a time for self-sacrifice—just as Jesus was sacrificed for the sake of mankind and peace.”

Governor Fintiri encouraged residents to show love by supporting the less privileged, stressing the need for intentional acts of kindness and generosity.
“Let us deliberately make it our responsibility to spread love by extending a helping hand to the needy this Easter season,” he urged.
Highlighting the value of unity and forgiveness, the governor called for collective efforts in building a peaceful and inclusive society.
“I pray that we will continue with the unity and oneness that bind us together, so we can keep building a State we are proud of—a place where people forgive each other and live in peace.”
