Governor Mai Mala Buni, of Yobe state, has called on the State Projects Monitoring Committee to intensify efforts in ensuring the timely and quality completion of all the state projects.
The directive was contained in a statement issued by Mamman Mohammed, Director-General of Press and Media Affairs, and made available to journalists in Damaturu, the state capital.
Governor Buni emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards in both ongoing and future projects across Yobe State.
“This is to ensure that all projects comply with contractual specifications, stand the test of time, and are beneficial to our people,” he stated.

The governor instructed site engineers to closely monitor compliance with project specifications and promptly report any instances of sub-standard work.
“We must ensure value for every naira spent on projects executed by the state government. This is in line with our administration’s commitment to transparency and accountability,” Buni added.
He further warned contractors against delays or substandard work, stressing the shared responsibility between the government and contractors to adhere to agreements.
“Government will fulfill its responsibilities, and we expect contractors to honor their commitments. Non-compliance will not be tolerated,” the governor warned.
