Elon Musk blasts Trump's $2.5 Trillion budget Bill as “Disgusting Abomination”

U.S. billionaire Elon Musk has publicly denounced former President Donald Trump’s flagship budget proposal, calling it a “disgusting abomination” and warning it will plunge America deeper into unsustainable debt.

Just days after stepping down from his advisory role in the Trump administration, Musk took to X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday to launch a scathing attack on the bill known as the One Big Beautiful Bill, a massive spending package that seeks to extend Trump’s 2017-era tax cuts and inject $46.5 billion into border wall construction along the U.S.-Mexico frontier.

“I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand it anymore,” Musk posted. “This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination. Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it.”

The tech mogul and SpaceX CEO didn’t stop there. In another blistering post, he accused Congress of pushing the nation toward financial collapse, stating that the bill would balloon the national deficit to a staggering $2.5 trillion. “Congress is making America bankrupt,” Musk warned, igniting a storm of debate online.

While Musk has been seen as an influential figure aligned with government interests, especially in the realm of innovation, defense, and space technology his latest outburst shows growing tension between fiscal conservatives and Trump loyalists over America’s mounting debt crisis.

Despite resigning from the Trump administration, Musk remains one of the most powerful voices in U.S. business and politics. His demand for more efficient, cost-conscious governance has won him both praise and criticism. Critics accuse him of hypocrisy and say his private contracts with the government contradict his anti-spending stance, while supporters hail him as a much-needed check on reckless fiscal policies.

Trump, known for his combative responses to critics, has yet to respond to Musk’s explosive remarks. It remains unclear whether the former president will retaliate, reconcile, or attempt to downplay the billionaire’s very public disapproval.

As the 2024 presidential race looms and political alliances continue to shift, Musk’s vocal opposition to Trump’s budget strategy could have ripple effects, especially among independent voters and fiscal conservatives who are wary of ballooning national debt and partisan spending.
