Egbetokun condemns mob action in Edo, orders immediate investigation
The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has ordered an investigation into the mob action in Edo State, where a local vigilante group attacked a group of travelers in Uromi.

Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, in a statement on Friday, said the incident involved a group of individuals traveling in a truck, who were reportedly in possession of 19 locally fabricated firearms.

The statement said the vigilante group, unconvinced by their claim of being hunters, accused them of being kidnappers and took matters into their own hands, leading to tragic consequences.
