Odion Ighalo has continued to prove that in his thirties he still has a lot to offer in the game of football.
The Al-Hilal player netted a double in a three-nil-victory on Tuesday against Istiklol in the AFC Champions League, to help the Riyadh-based club proceed to the round of 16 in the competition.
Ighalo, who played in the English Premier League for Watford, making 90 appearances while netting 36 goals in the process, also featured on loan for Manchester United in the 2020/2021 season.
Before the Super Eagle signed for Al-Hilal at the beginning of 2022, he featured for Al Shabab in the Saudi Pro League where he scored 21 goals in 31 appearances.
This exploitation and performance in the Saudi Pro League earned him a surprising call up to the national team by Augustine Eguavoen despite retiring from international duty.

Though he featured in the game against Ghana as a late substitute in MKO Abuja National Stadium, he could not salvage the situation to help the country secure the ticket to Qatar 2022 World Cup ahead of Black Stars of Ghana which qualified on the away-goal rule.
