Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs could be facing between one and three years of confinement, but his legal team is preparing to fight for him to serve that time at home rather than behind bars.
Diddy’s lead attorney, Marc Agnifilo, told reporters that he intends to request home confinement during sentencing, arguing that the hip-hop icon needs professional help, not prison. According to Agnifilo, Diddy is prepared to undergo mandatory therapy for anger management and substance abuse, issues that have reportedly affected him throughout his adult life.
“Prisons are not equipped to address these challenges in a meaningful way,” Agnifilo said, stressing that a structured therapeutic program would be more effective than incarceration. The lawyer revealed that he is assembling a team of professionals to work with Diddy both during and after confinement, making therapy a non-negotiable part of any supervised release.

When pressed on whether home confinement was a certainty in their sentencing request, Agnifilo confirmed it is “absolutely on the table.” He added that Diddy himself has acknowledged his need for intervention, vowing to use his time in confinement to confront personal struggles head-on.
