The Federal High Court, Abuja, has remanded in prison custody, an #ENDSARS activist, Olamide Thomas for insulting the president’s son, Seyi Tinubu on social media.
The presiding judge, Justice Emeka Nwite on Friday remanded the defendant in prison. Meanwhile, courts in the country are expected to go on recess until January 2025 when court sessions will resume.
Olamide was arraigned before the court on a four-count charge, after she was captured on a video insulting Seyi and top officers of the police.

The video allegedly indicting the activist was taken during the protest against the use of tear gas on her and other protesters at the fourth anniversary of the #EndSARS movement against police brutality in Nigeria.
In the four-page charge sheet prepared on December 18, the police said the activist violated Section 24 (2) (a) of the Cybercrimes Act, 2024.
Following the ruling by Justice Nwite, Olamide, is likely spending the Yuletide season in prison custody.
