Court grants Halle Bailey restraining order against ex-boyfriend DDG

Halle Bailey has been granted a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend, DDG, a rapper and YouTuber, due to concerns about domestic violence and the safety of their young son, Halo.

A judge in Los Angeles approved the restraining order after Halle Bailey, who is both an actor and a singer, expressed her fears for her safety and that of her child.

She claims that DDG, whose real name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., has been violent towards her multiple times since they broke up.

In court documents, Bailey reported that her ex-boyfriend has been physically, verbally, emotionally, and financially abusive throughout their relationship.

She stated that “I am seeking orders to protect myself and our son Halo from his ongoing abuse.”

The judge ordered DDG to stay away from both Bailey and their child until a court hearing set for June 6.

Bailey, 25, and Granberry, 27, dated for about a year before separating last year.

She described troubling incidents, including one where Granberry got physical during an argument while she was trying to put their baby in a car seat.

The actress stated that during the fight, he pulled her hair and slammed her face against the steering wheel, causing her to chip a tooth.

Bailey included pictures of her injuries in her legal filings.

In another incident in March, she alleged that Granberry entered her house while she was away and sent her a threatening message suggesting she was unfaithful.

He reportedly became aggressive when she wouldn’t let their sick child visit him and even broke her doorbell camera in anger.

Bailey mentioned that during this confrontation, he took her phone and slammed a car door on her while she was holding their baby.

She later reported this incident to the police.

Bailey also asked the court to prevent Granberry from using his social media platforms to spread negative messages about her.

She claimed that when he wants to provoke her, he talks badly about her to his millions of followers, claiming that she is keeping their son from him and that she’s involved with other men, resulting in her receiving threats online.

The judge has also prohibited Granberry from having any weapons. The restraining order can potentially be extended for up to five years during the upcoming hearing in June.

DDG is known for his success as a video content creator and in his music career, with his latest album released in May.

Meanwhile, Bailey has made a name for herself through both her music and acting, including a leading role in Disney’s recent live-action remake of “The Little Mermaid.”
