Chelsea accomplished the domestic treble with an impressive win against Manchester United in the women’s FA Cup final held at Wembley.
Sandy Baltimore netted twice, while substitute Catarina Macario contributed to the victory, marking an outstanding first season for Chelsea’s manager Sonia Bompastor.
The match was attended by the club’s new board member, Reddit founder, Alexis Ohanian, who was present at Wembley alongside his wife, Serena Williams after announcing an investment of £20 million.
The first goal came from Baltimore, who neatly placed a penalty shot past goalkeeper Phallon Tullis-Joyce after Celin Bizet unintentionally fouled Erin Cuthbert with a high kick.
This was the breakthrough Chelsea needed after Mayra Ramirez and Aggie Beever-Jones had posed threats, easing the pressure United had in the early stages.

USA international Macario entered as a substitute during the second half and sealed the match with a strong header late in the game, before Baltimore added another goal in stoppage time from close range, finding the net from five yards out.
Last year’s FA Cup champions United began the match with intensity but failed to capitalize, rarely challenging goalkeeper Hannah Hampton in what was largely a cautious contest.
It was their third consecutive appearance in the final, but United struggled to assert themselves as they had hoped and could not respond effectively after falling behind.
Chelsea secured their sixth consecutive Women’s Super League title at the end of April, having already defeated Manchester City to claim the Women’s League Cup.
This marks their first treble since 2021 under former manager Emma Hayes, while also extending their impressive record against United, winning 14 out of the last 16 encounters.
