Chelle excludes Osimhen, Lookman in 26-man Unity Cup squad

Super Eagles manager, Eric Chelle, has excluded Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman from his selection of 26 players ahead of the Unity Cup tournament scheduled at the Gtech Community Stadium in London.

After a lengthy absence of 21 years, the Unity Cup makes its comeback, taking place at Brentford’s Stadium from May 27 to May 31.

Participating teams include Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Nigeria, and Ghana.

The first semi-final will be played on May 27 between the two Caribbean countries, with the jollof derby set to follow the next day.

The final and third place match are both slated for May 31.

In preparation for the upcoming competition, Nigeria’s head coach has implemented various changes, omitting some regular players while inviting newer talents to participate in the tournament.
