Casemiro available for move to Roma

Casemiro available for move to Roma
Casemiro is open to a move to Roma and Manchester United are willing to let him leave on loan before the window closes.

United would prefer to sell Casemiro on a permanent deal but there have not been any offers of that kind so far.

Sky in Italy reported on Tuesday that Roma have asked for information about Casemiro.

According to the reports from Italy, the Serie A side are doing their due diligence on the Brazil midfielder in the event that they need to find a replacement for Leandro Paredes, who is a target for Boca Juniors.

Casemiro has dropped down the pecking order at Old Trafford with only four starts under Ruben Amorim. The 32-year-old also has not featured in United’s last six games.

Meanwhile, Manchester United will consider triggering the buy-back clause for Benfica’s Alvaro Fernandez if they can’t come to an agreement over Patrick Dorgu.

United have a buy-back clause of £15m for the left-back, which is valid until January 2026.

Fernandez, 21, joined Benfica in the summer after an initial loan, having joined United from Real Madrid in 2020 as a youth player.

Similarly, United have also made checks on Crystal Palace’s Tyrick Mitchell and Rayan Ait-Nouri of Wolves, with other top options being Nuno Mendes and Milos Kerkez seemingly unattainable in this window.

A successful move for Dorgu would also allow United to let Tyrell Malacia go out on loan this window. A number of European clubs have expressed an interest and United will look to get a deal in place should Dorgu arrive.
