Five persons have been confirmed dead and six others injured after a boat capsized along the popular Bennet Island River in Warri South Local Government area of Delta State.
It was gathered that the accident occurred late Monday night. It remains unclear the destination of the capsized boat which also left at least one person still missing.

The spokesman of the Delta State Police Command, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed the development on Tuesday, disclosing that six persons were injured in the accident.
“Five found dead, six persons injured and still receiving treatment, 19 persons rescued, one still missing”, Edafe said in a short statement..
