Barcelona stormed past Osasuna with a commanding 3-0 victory at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, moving three points clear of arch-rivals Real Madrid in the LaLiga title race.
Despite resting star forwards Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha, the Catalan giants wasted no time asserting their dominance. Ferran Torres opened the scoring in the 11th minute, slotting home from close range after a brilliant assist from Alejandro Balde. Just ten minutes later, Dani Olmo doubled the lead from the penalty spot after being fouled in the box. His initial attempt was saved, but a retake was ordered due to an Osasuna player encroaching.
With Osasuna struggling to gain any foothold—failing to register a single shot on goal in the first half while conceding 78% possession—Barcelona maintained complete control. Lewandowski, introduced as a second-half substitute, put the game beyond doubt in the 77th minute, heading in his 23rd goal of the season just seven minutes after coming on.

“Every match is a final from now on, and today was no different. We solved it quickly and soundly, and that’s the important thing—three points and move on,” said Torres after the game.
The victory extends Barcelona’s unbeaten streak, making them the only club in Europe’s top-five leagues yet to lose a match in 2025. They now sit atop LaLiga with 63 points from 28 games, ahead of second-placed Real Madrid (60 points) and Atletico Madrid (56 points). Osasuna remains in 14th place.
The match, originally scheduled for March 8, was postponed due to the passing of Barcelona’s club doctor, Carles Minarro Garcia. Manager Hansi Flick, facing a congested fixture schedule, opted for a rotated squad, balancing injuries and players returning from international duty.
With seven matches in the next 20 days across LaLiga, the Copa del Rey, and the Champions League, Barcelona’s depth and resilience will be put to the test as they push for domestic and European glory.
