Governor Hope Uzodimma has reaffirmed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is stronger and more united than ever, dismissing claims of internal discord within Nigeria’s ruling party. According to him, the APC remains a democratic and cohesive force, rallying behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration to drive national progress.
Speaking immediately after the APC NEC meeting, Uzodimma pointed to the party’s consistent electoral victories as proof of its resilience and internal strength. He emphasized that the APC’s commitment to internal democracy has been key to its expansion and growing influence across Nigeria. “The internal democracy within our party, the APC, has been demonstrated at the highest standards, paving the way for our steady growth across the nation,” he stated.
The governor also addressed criticisms suggesting that the APC is run as a “one-man show.” He firmly rejected these claims, asserting that the party operates with collective leadership and broad participation. According to him, the National Executive Committee and other decision-making bodies ensure that every member has a voice. “The APC is democratic and more united than ever,” Uzodimma declared, reinforcing the party’s commitment to inclusivity.

Reflecting on the party’s growth, he recalled how the APC’s membership in Imo State surged in April 2023, a development he described as a sign of greater unity and political strength. Now, with even more members nationwide, Uzodimma believes the party is well-positioned to support Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda and tackle Nigeria’s pressing challenges.
Despite facing internal and external challenges, Uzodimma insists that the APC has remained focused on governance, infrastructure development, and economic renewal. He believes the party’s unity is a major advantage, allowing it to maintain stability while delivering on its promises to Nigerians. “APC is stronger, united, and supportive of Tinubu’s government,” he declared.
