This will bring to three reported cases of damage to oil installation in the last 24 hours.

After the Trans Niger pipeline operated by the Shell Petroleum Development Company located along Ogoni axis in Rivers State which exploded on Monday, another oil facility at Ogba/Egbema Ndoni axis was reported to have burst in flames on Tuesday

It was gathered that the Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni explosion occurred at a Manifold connecting federal line in Okwawriwa, sending large plumes of flames and thick smoke into the air.

The affected pipeline is said to be responsible for transporting petroleum products from major oil companies, including Seplat, Agip, and Shell, supplying areas in ONELGA, parts of Imo State, and Brass in Bayelsa State.

However, the facility is said to be situated away from residential zones, significantly minimizing the risk of casualties.

Both the Ogba/Egbema incident and the Gbarain in Bayelsa have however not been confirmed by any competent authority as at press time

President Bola Tinubu who declared a state of emergency in Rivers State had hinged his reason on attack on oil facility and political upheaval in the state.
