The air force is fully prepared and committed to protecting Nigeria always, declares the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar.
He made the declaration during the celebration of the Air Force’s 61st anniversary on Wednesday.
Air Marshal Abubakar emphasised the importance of vigilance and commitment while visiting troops in Katsina State.
During his visit, the chief of air staff encouraged the airmen and women to stay alert and focused on their main goal of defending Nigeria and its people.
He urged the troops to keep their operations strong and work hard until peace and security are restored across the country.
The air force chief noted that the celebration not only shows the air force’s capabilities to the public but also highlights its readiness and skills.

Air Marshal Abubakar reassured Nigerians that the air force is dedicated to fulfilling its mission to protect the nation.
While acknowledging the progress made in various operations, he stated that “the fight isn’t over. We have made important strides, but this is not the time to slow down. We must keep increasing our efforts against terrorists and criminals.”
As the air force marks 61 years of service, he stressed the need to give Nigerians more reasons to feel hopeful and to show that their air force is ready and determined to secure peace.
During his visit, he interacted with the troops, checked the facilities, and assessed the equipment being used.
The visit, he said, highlights his commitment to the well-being of the troops and the effectiveness of their operations to restore peace and stability in troubled areas.
