Information security management defines and manages control that organisations need to implement in ensuring protection, confidentiality, availability and integrity of its assets.
It has become necessary for corporate entities to protect their assets in view of the ever-increasing cyber-security threats and vulnerability ravaging global businesses, which usually result in massive financial losses.
Commenting on the certification, Chief Risk Officer of AIICO, Abiodun Adebajo said: “We consider the certification as a reward for collective efforts that have gone into embedding the information security risk management culture within the entire organisation and reflection of the premium we placed on protecting our customers and business data.
“With the certification, we have taken the necessary steps to protect our organisation’s information data and other assets against security breaches and other threats from unscrupulous individuals.”
