Special Adviser to Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba’ State on Muslim Affairs, Alhaji Hussaini Ismaila, has tackled recent criticisms leveled against his boss by the governorship candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in the last general poll, Prof. Sani Yahaya.
Prof. Yahaya had alleged that Taraba under the leadership of the governor, has witnessing snail speed development.
Playing host to a group of Muslim clerics at his residence in Jalingo, the state capital, the governor’s aide urged Prof. Yahaya to visit the state and witness the ongoing development efforts instead of criticizing from his base in Abuja
He used the occasion to commend the peaceful conduct of the Eid-el-Kabir festivities and to reflect on the administration’s progress under Gov. Agbu Kefas.
“Governor Kefas was chosen by the will of God and the mandate of the people. We are seeing progress in security, unity, and education areas where the governor has shown strong leadership,” Ismaila stated.
He also highlighted significant improvements in security, noting that residents now enjoy greater peace of mind compared to previous years.
The aide who was of the view that “people can now sleep with their eyes closed,” emphasized on the the improved safety across the state.

Addressing the recent tensions in Karim Lamido Local Government Area, Ismaila acknowledged the crisis but stressed that the state government has already taken steps toward lasting peace.
He cautioned that inflammatory remarks from political figures like Prof. Yahaya could risk destabilizing the fragile calm.
Ismaila, also applauded Gov. Kefas’s administration for easing the financial burden on families by reducing school fees and covering WAEC and NECO examination costs for students.
He called on the NNPP governorship candidate in the lase general election and other political actors to embrace the will of God, and support the state’s progress under the incumbent’s inclusive and development focused leadership
