Ahmed Musa leaves Eagles camp as Ndidi, Ajayi opt out of practice in London

Super Eagles skipper, Ahmed Musa has exited the Eagles camp in London, heading back to Nigeria for reasons that remain unspecified.

Musa was absent from practice on Thursday, and several other players also chose to step away from the camp as they prepare for the 2025 Unity Cup final in London.

According to reports from reporters, the Super Eagles secured a 2-1 victory against the Black Stars of Ghana on Wednesday at the GTech Community Stadium in one of the tournament matches.

Wilfred Ndidi, Cyril Dessers, and Semilore Ajayi all departed the training grounds, while those who played significant roles in the win over the Black Stars underwent light recovery workouts during the session.

Benjamin Fredrick, the former Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) Ilorin FC and Nigeria U20 player, who wasn’t on the initial roster, was noticed at the training site.

Frederick, currently playing for Brentford in the English Premier League, participated in the training activities and other sessions directed by Super Eagles coach, Eric Chelle, who primarily focused on tactical strategies for the game.

The Super Eagles are set to face Jamaica in the final of the 2025 Unity Cup on Saturday.

The Jamaicans triumphed over their Trinidad and Tobago rivals with a score of 3-2 to secure their spot in Saturday’s finale.
