The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has suspended its Chairman, Mr. Mamman Mike Osuman over comments credited to him, relating to the 2027 general elections.
This suspension was contained in a statement signed by the Chairman, board of trustee, Alhaji Bashir Muhammed Dalhatu and the Secretary General, Murtal Aliyu, stating that the statement made by Osuman that the north will back a northern candidate for the presidency in 2027, was made without due consultations.

The ACF said the statement by Osuman at the national executive committee meeting held on November 20, 2024, in Kaduna, was not a reflection of the stance of the forum but his personal opinion.
The statement added that Osuman’s suspension was approved by the board of trustees and the national executive committee.
